With a vast iconography and texts rich in information, the collection written by Edna Ande and Sueli Lemos introduces young people to the main artistic expressions of Rome, Greece, and Egypt in the Ancient Age. We developed the graphic design and illustrations following guidelines that refer to the visual culture of these ancient civilizations. A chromatic palette with two predominant colors was developed for each book and applied to the graphic design as well as illustrations to make the content clearer and more fun. The “Art in the Ancient Age” collection was a finalist in the Jabuti award in the category best textbook and educational book of 2012.
